Serotonin is a neurotransmitter released by neurons in the brain. When you exercise and eat a balanced diet consisting of healthy fats, carbohydrates and proteins, with the aid of tryptophan in protein, your body will create more serotonin; and serotonin is the feel good chemical linked to relaxation, getting a good nights sleep and promoting happiness.
